Advanced Burner System for Syktyvkar Pulp Mill

The burner system to the new pulp mill in Syktyvkar, Russia will be supplied as a subcontracting project for Andritz Oy. The commissioning of the burner system is planned in 2009.

In Mondi Step project (Syktyvkar) the main NCG (Non Condensable Gas) burner will be located at the recovery boiler with capacity of 13.5 MW. The top-quality system combats the pulp mill odour issues with great efficiency. In addition to LVHC gases, also liquid methanol is used as fuel. Natural gas is start-up and support fuel. The stand-by, back-up flare incinerator is designed only for LVHC gases and its capacity is 7.3 MW. Also here natural gas is used as support fuel.

The contract includes also a delivery of eight natural gas start-up burners and three natural gas load burners for the recovery boiler. All of these start-up burners are designed for 13 MW capacity and load burners for 35 MW capacity.
In addition, Enviroburners is also supplying all the natural gas, methanol and LVHC gas valve units for the main NCG burner, flare, start-up burners and load burners.
